Amazon has announced three finalists for the 2009 Breakthrough Novel Award.  The award, sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc., Penquin Group (USA), and CreateSpace, drew several thousand nominations.  The finalists are Ian Gibson for Stuff of Legends, James King for Bill Warrington’s Last Chance, and Brani Lynn Ryder for In Malice, Quite Close.

Shelfari has a page which lists each author/book.  You can click on each on the finalists names/book and read the first chapter from their book.

Each book sounds boldly unique.  I would like to read them all.  My inclination is to try Bill Warrington’s Last Chance first.  It sounds like a great plot to me.
