With whomever your political interest lie, you can usually find books about them or by them.  Amazon.com’s books Top 100 bestseller list, which is updated hourly, at this writing has 3 books with President Barack Obama’s name in the title.  Sitting near the top of the list is Bob Woodward’s upcoming release (September 27, 2010), “Obama’s Wars“.   The book examines the Obama administration’s war strategy in Afghanistan.  Woodward’s book is currently at #2 on the list and has been on Amazon.com’s bestseller list for 3 days.  Holding down the 29th spot on the list is “Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment of President Barack Obama“  by David Limbaugh.  The book has been an Amazon.com bestseller for 32 days.  And, finally, at #35, is Bill O’Reilly’s book “Pinheads and Patriots: Where You Stand in the Age of Obama” which has been on the bestseller list for 13 days now.

President Obama himself has written a children’s book, “of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters” which will be released on November 16, 2010.  Barack Obama’s new book, destined to be a bestseller, is being published by Random House Children’s Books and will have a first printing of 500,000 copies.  President Obama has written two books which went on to sell more than a million copies each.  They are “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance” and “The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream“.

Two former U.S. Presidents have authored books which are on the current Amazon Top 100.   At #31 on the bestseller list is Jimmy Carter’s book “White House Diary“.  The book is a collection of never before released diary entries that Carter made during his four years as president.   George W. Bush also has a book on the bestseller list.  Scheduled to be released on November 9, 2010 by Crown Publishers “Decision Points” is a memoir of our 43rd president.  Bush’s book is already at #63 on Amazon.com’s Top 100. 

The symbol of the Tea Party Movement and former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has another upcoming book release.  Her new book “America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag” is scheduled to available on November 23, 2010.  Palin’s previous book, an immediate bestseller, was “Going Rogue: An American Life“.  That book was released in late 2009.

Interested in political life “across the pond?”  Britain’s former prime minister Tony Blair has a bestseller, too.  “A Journey: My Politcal Life” is currently #46 on the Top 100 Amazon list.
