It is amazing how certain books create a huge following.  Stephenie Meyers has certainly hit the jackpot with her latest book “Breaking Dawn”.  It was released last Friday night at midnight.  Many, many bookstores across the country held parties to celebrate the book’s release and to begin selling it.  Thousands of people attended parties across the country.  I wonder how many people stayed up all night reading the new book?

Borders Group reports they sold more than 250,000 copies in the first 24 hours of the book’s release.  Read the following story from the New York Times for further details. 

Is the book good?  I haven’t read it, but there was an interesting review from Deseret News out of Salt Lake City.  As a book lover, it is exciting to see millions of people turning off their TV and reading!  Here’s to more mega-sellers.
